My father was an insurance agent, so I have a LONG history in the Insurance Industry. I opened my agency in December of 2007 and still find myself excited about meeting new clients, establishing a relationship with them, and turning them into my extended family. There’s no better feeling than being relied upon by your clients.
I grew up in suburban Atlanta and attended college at VSU in south Georgia on a golf scholarship. I have a history degree, but am not entirely sure why! I LOVE to talk about my son and daughter, travel, politics, and I also play competitive golf from April to October. In my free time, you can find me doing something like hiking up the mountain with my son and daughter, or playing golf, sometimes with my son.
I was a two time All American golfer in college, am in the VSU athletic Hall of Fame, and have played in six national championships so far.
I’m passionate about veteran affairs, helping the public library, golf programs and senior adult communities. Most of all, I am really excited to make a difference for our community.
Get to know Tevis a little more:
I joined Tevis’ team after being a long time customer, and have worked in the service industry since I was a teenager. I really enjoy talking with different people every day and love helping them stay informed about their insurance coverage.
I grew up in Lithia Springs, Georgia and moved to Dallas, Georgia after starting a family. I enjoy spending time with my children and cooking or gathering with friends and family in my free time.
I have been in and out of the insurance industry for 8 years. I worked at The Upton Agency from April 2009 to April 2011 and then a different agency from 2011-2012 before working in Commercial Insurance in addition to personal lines from 2012-2015 with an Independent agency. And now I am back at it with Tevis and the gang! I think the most exciting part of my job is knowing that I am helping people to protect their most treasured possessions- their home, their cars, but most importantly, their family!
I was born in Edison, New Jersey but migrated south at 4 years old. I graduated with a degree in History/Poli-Sci in 1998 from Winthrop University and have lived in the Cobb/Paulding County area since 2002. My family and I typically take one trip a year to Gulf Shores, Alabama or St Augustine, Florida, but we also try to squeeze in a trip to visit family up north.
I love to clean and organize- it makes me feel so satisfied to see something that was once a mess, nicely arranged. I also love Italian Food and my favorite restaurant is Macaroni Grill. When I get some free time, you can find me running, if the weather is just right, or shopping!
